Valentine's Day 2019

So, last week started off a little rough. After David getting sick with the flu on Sunday morning, me catching it Sunday night, and Brooke waking up sick Monday, it was a stay home and sleep kind of week. (I'm still slightly sick though which is why it has taken me so long to write this.)

Thankfully, David was well enough by Thursday that he was able to go to school and not miss out on all the Valentine's day fun! He decided to give out star wars valentines with gummy bears. It was fun to see him writing his name on each of them and helping him tape them together. He was so excited to show me all the valentines he got when I picked him up after school that day! Luckily, he's an awesome big brother and he shared some of the candy with his sister Brooke.

Valentine's day is usually pretty chill for John and I. He gave me a rose and some ice cream and I made him his favorite lemon cookies. We celebrated a little more on Saturday this year by going to a BYU Ballroom dance concert! It was great but as soon as the dancers came out, I felt pretty sad that we didn't bring Brookie with us. Even as a two year old she would've loved it! I reminded myself that she was still sick and probably would've fallen asleep because of that anyway. That made me feel a lot less guilty and I've decided that we'll definitely be bringing our kiddos to one of these concerts in the future!

Well, February is almost over which seems crazy! The time has flown by and at the same time, it feels like little Aaron has always been in our family. Crazy how that works! Not only that, but I swear David has grown a couple of inches within the past few weeks. Every time I look at him, he looks taller! He's growing up too fast!

As a side note, since I was still getting over a cold myself during the weekend, I completely spaced taking any pictures of John and I together (which I think is important to do every once in a while since one of us is usually behind the camera). So... here are two pictures of little Aaron. Enjoy! :)
