Aaron's Birthday!

Aaron turned 4 this week! He was pretty excited about his birthday but also a bit bummed out that he won't be in nursery with Zack anymore at church. He graduated to Sunbeams so now he gets to go to the "big kid primary".

Sooo, if you ask him he still wants to be three. But only so he can still play for the 2nd hour of church. Haha!

For Aaron's birthday dinner, he originally asked for corndogs and blue jello, but when lunch time came around, he just couldn't wait! He ended up eating a corndog for lunch and asked to switch dinner to cereal which was fine with me!

As for his birthday cake, he wanted a batman car cake that was orange or vanilla with vanilla icing. With one of the orange cake layers not turning out, it ended up being both flavors and made for a pretty tall cake!

We ended up having to babysit a few times at the last minute this week and I didn't end up having time to run to pick up wrapping paper. So, I made it into a scavenger hunt instead and put a few bows on his presents to hide them.

I thought this was a fun idea, but Aaron didn't want to do it at the start! I think it was because his first present was outside on the swing and he didn't want to go get it. Haha!

Luckily, David brought it in for him (the excitement was too much for him!) and then Aaron understood more what the "birthday present scavenger hunt" was.

If you ask Aaron, the best thing he got for his birthday was the new cars from his Grandma and Grandpa. That's pretty much all he and Zack ever want right now!

Our little Aaron is growing up to be such a kind brother to his siblings (most of the time) and is constantly being followed around and mimicked by his younger brother, Zack. Aaron told me recently
that if Zack is ever sad about something, he will either hug him, rub his head, or pretend to be a puppy dog and then he's fine!

Aaron also loves to tell jokes and get people to laugh. He's a joy to have in our family and we're excited to watch him grow!

Happy Birthday Aaron!
