Frisbee Golf Date

It's crazy what you can find just by exploring your hometown a little bit more. Although the city I live in right now is not where I grew up, I'm thinking it may end up being my children's "hometown" so why not find the extra perks early. Haha!

One day we took one of those random adventures to meet some friends and their kids at a park. A park that turned out to have a Frisbee golf course! And ever since then, I've been wanting this date to happen.

And this week it finally did! Although, sort of on accident. Haha! As I mentioned, my kiddos went to "Grandcamp" this week and John and I got some time to ourselves (plus, baby... Haha!)

Not really having a specific plan of what to do, John threw in some frisbees at the last second and I'm so glad he did!

We found a park nearby with a Frisbee golf course and went to go play a round of it.

One great thing about Frisbee golf is that all you need are a few Frisbees and you're ready. If you want to be "official" you can buy real Frisbee golf discs, but we always just use the cheap ones.

All you have to do to find a golf course near you is to Google it... Isn't that the answer to most online stuff? Lol.

An option for anyone that doesn't live near a Frisbee golf course is to tie laundry hampers around trees using some rope. Just thread the rope through the holes in the basket and tie it around the tree. If trees aren't available, you can just put the baskets on the ground.

Making your own course lets you set up a course in your own yard or even while camping!

I'm glad we found a course so close to home. We will definitely be going again, although if we start going too often, we might have to add some different twists in the game to make it new each time! Like throwing with your non dominant hand or with your eyes closed... As long as it's still fun, we may start getting more creative with the game after a few times of playing it!
