This Thanksgiving was the same as any other.
We spent it with John's family and I was assigned to bring rolls and pie. I made my mom's rolls that are sooo good! The only down side (in John's opinion) is that they are really the best the day you bake them. Each day after and the texture gets a little less fluffy. Because of that, I decided to bake them all that morning. I also made some whole wheat rolls that morning that were just ok...
As far as pie goes, my family's motto should be the more the merrier! It's never about the amount of pies we have, it's the variety. If the night ends and every pie has at least one slice taken out of it, then it was a good year! And this year was a good year. Haha!
After eating "dinner" at 2 (not sure why it's called dinner when it's more of a lunch time? but whatever...) we played some large group games and then had the traditional white elephant gift exchange. We ended up with a game of panguitchopoly, a stuffed animal that doubles as a dragon and a unicorn, and a mini suitcase with "yes" and "no" buttons in it.
Ok... rewind to earlier in the week. Since Kevin and Christine came to visit from out of state, all the adults (and a few kids) went to top golf. I stayed home with our kiddos, but David went with John and had a lot of fun! We also went to the Jordan River Temple and did a ceiling session which was nice.
Over all, it was a nice Thanksgiving. The only down side being that I have definitely not been taking as many pictures as I should! So we will just have to settle for what we have!
