Emperor's New Groove party

A lot of people tend to have favorite Disney movies when they're growing up. For Brooke, it's Cinderella. David loved Finding Nemo and Cars, and now it's safe to say that Aaron's favorite is also Cars. Well, one that has continued to be one of my sister, Julia's favorite is Emperor's New Groove. Watching it as a kid was fun, but just like many Disney and Pixar movies, there are enough jokes for adults that it continues to be a family favorite for my family.

Recently one of my siblings sent Julia a recipe she found for Kronk's spinach puffs! And with that, we had to have an Emperor's New Groove party!

With it being Julia's idea, she planned most of it. A lot of the food came from what Kronk had to cook at the restaurant in the movie. We had easy pigs in a blanket (just cut up corn dogs), sushi, sweet potato fries, pink cranberry juice (to be extract of llama), deviled eggs, and of course, Kronk's Spinach Puffs! And for dessert, how could we not have Yzma's birthday cake?!

To make the cake, I just used a simple strawberry box cake. We did a vanilla buttercream crumb coat and topped it with a white chocolate drip as well as a bunch of candles!

And of course, how could you not have an Emperor's New Groove party without watching the movie! Now we're ready for Disney World in December! As Kuzco would say..."bring it on."
