Zack had a birthday!

Within the last week or so, Zack has been a little more moody, cuddly, and possessive of his toys... Part of that could be the fact that I'm having another baby soon, but I think it also has to do with the fact that he was about to turn two! 

With all of our other kids, they actually didn't have "terrible two's". They mostly waited a bit and just had the "three-nager" stage. 

Well, there's a first time for everything, I guess. Haha!

That being said, overall, he's still a very fun little kid. He was our earliest one to walk but has been our latest one to talk. He definitely knows a lot of words and understands so much, but he's still working on connecting sounds. 

One thing he loves to do is to get all of the hot wheel cars in the house and line them up along the back edge of the sofa. DO NOT touch his cars once they're lined up or he will be a very angry little baby. Lol.

Along with cars, he loves to play puppy dogs and to follow Aaron around all day. They are two cute little buddies!

For Zack's birthday this year, we ended up making tacos so he could eat corn, black beans, and cheese, which he loves! I gave him other options, but he would just say yes to them all. Haha!

After dinner, we had a jello cake and then he opened his presents. John had to try to light the cake twice because Zack was so excited that he blew that match out before John could get the candles lit!

As much as Zack loves cars, books are a close second. Once he opened the truck book we got him, he just wanted to read that before opening anything else! The kids each picked out a toy for him from the dollar store (mostly cars) and we also gave him a whack-a-mole game and a bathtub toy. He got some more cars from each of his grandparents as well. They know what he likes! Haha!

After all that, John actually had to run off to a wedding reception real quick and was going to bring Brooke along while I got the rest of the kids ready for bed. Well, Zack is also a bit of a FOMO (fear of missing out) baby like Aaron was so John ended up bringing him along. That was actually the perfect end to his birthday since they had an ice cream bar and he loved it!

It was great to celebrate such a fun little kid this week! We all love Zack and his siblings will even argue over who gets to play with him! Usually, whoever has the most cars wins. Haha!
