You're face to face with greatness and it's strange...
lol.
Really though, I wasn't going to post about this... I promise!
But then, it just turned out sooo cute that I had to share it...
A while back, John and I were going to a wedding reception for a cousin and I had a thought that it would have been fun to make a piñata for the couple and fill it with small household things, gift cards, and of course, candy. We decided then that the next sibling of ours to get married would be given such a piñata! It took a little while, before we could make this idea into a reality, but we were finally able to do it!
When I was decorating the papier-mâché piñata, all I had was a roll of green streamers. I started at the bottom and once I got part of the way up, I had an idea that it would look cute as a hula girl... And then the idea for Maui from the movie "Moana" popped into my head and I didn't look back. Haha!
I thought it turned out pretty cute! After painting it, I just made the hook out of paper and used markers to draw on the designs. I was going to use some sort of ribbon or black streamers for the hair, but I didn't have enough time to run to the store... so, we did the next best thing. Colored a white piece of paper, cut it into strips, curled it and glued it on. In the end, I thing it looked better than streamers would have anyway.
I can't wait to make one for the next sibling! Hopefully I'll get some awesome inspiration again when the time comes!
But for now,
What can I say, except...
You're Welcome!
;)
