Zack is a Magic Number

Over the weekend Zack turned 3! We ended up going camping Friday afternoon so I made his cake Thursday night and finished it up Friday morning to bring along. Thankfully, he just wanted normal funfetti cake with buttercream icing so I didn't have to worry about keeping it cold as much as I would with a fruit filling. 

We camped at the Little Sahara Dessert for the first time and the kids had a lot of fun. After chili dogs for dinner, we all sang to Zack and he blew out his candles. I brought a few small presents that I knew wouldn't get ruined by the sand and he had fun playing with them. Definitely different from past birthdays, but the kids had a blast and John's dad and two of Zack's cousins came too which was great!

Zack is still very active and looks like he will follow in Aaron's footsteps with soccer and sports ability. He loves to play cars and still can't say "truck" without accidentally cursing. Oops! He is a joy to have around and is a very rambunctious but sweet kid.
